Word to the wise: skip all the touristy, kaesekuegelisch, entrance-fee-charging xmas markts downtown and come on up to the much more welcoming and cool one in P'Berg's KultureBrewery. Of course, you won't get to see a couple guys with reverse camel-toes doing their best Paul Revere imitation while taking your ticket, but the market here is much more about sharing a gluhwein with your compadres to the warming smell of burning wood than about buying designer mobiles and ugly felt winter caps...unless that's your thing...Anke...
One of the zuperkool things about it can be see in the picture. There's almost a full circle of these awesome winter coats with puppet-like supports hanging over electric heaters. The point is to sit on the heater and insert yourself into this amazingly comfortable, toasty-warm coat and chat with your pals while they do the same and, yes, to do it for free. It's participatory, community-building, and heart-warming...
