Well, I hate to say it, but it's happened. Going to New York felt strange and coming back to Berlin felt like a homecoming. Not to say the City isn't in her full splendor. Here's a few shots of many.

Well, poor lil' ol' me had to go show his folks around Venice. Wow. Say no more, say no more. I will say this, though: get there while you can! I don't know if it's because of the 18 gazillion tourists being there at one time or global warming, but the place is on the way to becoming the Adriatic Atlantis. They had some posters in front of San Marco's explaining how the square floods 300 out of 365 days a year now up to 100 cm. On another topic, one of the things I enjoyed most was getting lost in Venice and then finding my way back with a map. Finding your way to anywhere with a map is a fairly useless excercise, and the Italians don't make it any easier with signs like this:
